Customs Vibhag Vacancy Notification for 10th Pass Candidates

- Maximum Age: 25 years
- Age calculation will be based on the cutoff date of December 17, 2024.
- Candidates from reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
- Navik (Sailor): The candidates will be recruited after passing 10th grade of High School and must have had at least experience of 3 years in mechanized ships in the marine and 2 years in naval duties.
- Greaser: All candidates must have passed their 10th grade (High School) and must also have experience of 3 years in the maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery on mechanized ships.
Recruitment into the Customs Department would be through a process that would involve the following steps:
1. Written Examination
The written test will evaluate the applicant’s knowledge and skills pertinent to job positions that applicants apply for. It may cover subjects corresponding to the job/ functions of a Navik/Greaser, General Aptitude, and Maritime knowledge.
2. PET
A Physical Endurance Test (PET) would be conducted to assess the candidate’s physical fitness. It will be coupled with swimming test in which candidates will be rated based on their swimming skill and their physical endurance.
3. Document Verification
Candidates who will qualify for both written exam and PET will be called for a document verification. Candidates would need to present relevant documents, such as educational certificates, age proof, experience certificates, and others required.
4. Medical Examination
The medical check-up will be conducted to ensure candidates are within the Health requirements for employment in the Customs Department. The appointment will only be made upon passing the medical test.
